A Whirlwind of New Friends and Old in NYC
I got a chance to be a jetsetter last week when I was invited by my wonderful friends at Glam.com to an amazing “Beauty Editor for a Day” trip to NYC. We had an amazing schedule of things to do which rivaled what Teri planned so wonderfully for us during Spring 08 Fashion week, but was all crammed into one day. Before I go any further with all of THAT, I just wanted to say a giant thank you to India-Jewel and Susan at Glam for inviting me on this super glamorous trip! Here are the other marvelous chicks that came along as well:
- My dearest Teri, from Beautiful Makeup Search and our own Aging Fabulous, Celeb Look and of course our managing editor of Splendicity
- The amazing Patrice, you might know her better as Bella, from Afrobella - what a true pleasure it was to finally get to meet you, my dear!!
- Lianne, who I had met during Fashion Week but really got to know better over a dangerous mix of martini’s and sake - from The Makeup Girl - grrrrrrrrrrl, we could make some serious trouble together, no? LOL
- The ultra-fab Tia Williams, from Shake Your Beauty, and an amazing chick lit author - ’twas an honor! ::bows::
- Erin from Make Her Up - a new friend, was such a pleasure!
- Allison from Beauty Snob - was admittedly a little disappointed that Tina couldn’t make the trip, but Allison was a WONDERFUL choice to send in her place. Again, a true pleasure to meet and hang with you - and I am still coveting that pink bag!
- A couple of special shout outs to some folks I got to meet that have been super special to me - Jamie Stone, who was, I think, my first PR contact in the beauty blogging world, and Andrea Betts, who helped me out so much with my 50 beautiful uses for Vaseline post last fall. *muah* - So much fun!!

Me too - thank you again (and thanks to Cora) for the wonderful, intimate (and super fancy!) dinner - it was a wonderful time had by all. I hope we can do it again sometime. Brain picking can really be so much fun! xox
