Are Plastic Surgeons getting desperate?

by Christina Jones on December 22nd, 2005

Doctors Say Yes  is a plastic surgery network guaranteeing financing to everyone who wants plastic surgery.  From the website:

Doctorssayyes.tv guarantees that you will be approved for financing for all or part of your Cosmetic Surgery procedure. This is not a gimmick, Doctorssayyes.tv has organized a group of Board Certified Surgeons who guarantee that they will finance all or part of your Plastic Surgery procedure. Upon your being approved you will also receive a free consultation with the surgeon who has extended financing terms to you.

Soooo, am I to understand that we are choosing our plastic surgeons according to who has the most liberal financing?  No thanks.  I will choose my doctor according to who does the best looking job and is the most concerned about cleanliness and infection control.  But that is just me.  And what is up with the .tv extention on their web address?  What do you think - would you pick a plastic surgeon this way?

Well, in our day and age, so much is judged by a person’s looks and I feel the plastic surgeons feed on that.

I’m not saying whether it’s right or wrong (heh, I enjoy looking at beautiful things - and people - too), but you’re right in believing one should seek out competent doctors and not based their choices on who has “the most liberal financing” options.

There are a whole lot of things out there that feed on our desires to be beautiful, it is very important to distinguish between those who are truly trying to help you, and those who are trying to make a quick buck with no regard to anything else. I am sure that there are some of both kinds involved in this network (as there are everywhere in life), but I hope there are more of the first type than the second though.

Thanks so much for reading, I hope to see you back soon!
