Beauty and Time
I am sure you have heard people say that your skin is the canvas for beautiful makeup, so I won’t repeat it here.
This is so true. Think about times when you have hurriedly applied your makeup–ignoring your basic skin care first. Then compare that to when you have taken hours to get ready for a special event, not missing one single step in preparing. Didn’t you look so much better when you cleansed, toned, moisturized before you applied your makeup?
If you feel like you don’t have time to do all of this preparation in the mornings, try this. Set a timer, go wash your face. Use your toner, then moisturizer. How long did that take? One minute? Surely not more than two. The point is, you have time. And I promise it will make a huge difference in the way you look, and the way you feel!

How important do you think toner is? Some beauty editors seem to think it’s not necessary.

I think it probably depends on your skin type, honestly. Some products now are developed with the pH balancing agents already in them, which is what one of the main purposes of "toner" is/was. I have skin that is on the oily side, and I wouldn’t do without my toner, because I really feel like it helps cut down the oil production. Of course, this could just be my imagination :)
