Beauty Beat: Beautiful Winter Skin

by Christina Jones on January 16th, 2007

This is the time of year my skin looks its best. No heat opening my pores wide to accept the day’s dirt, no hot sun drying me up like a raisin. The cold weather closes my large pores tight and my pale skin is the norm of the winter. This is the time of year I can relax a little in my skin care; put away the self tanners and the scrubs, masks and peels and leave only the basics. I think, looking back, probably my favorite products have been discovered in the winter, just to be exchanged, when the heat of the day returns, for more combative products. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water and eat the wonderful foods that the Earth gives to you, and take the time to build a snowman when you see some snow this year. Life is good.

As always, come visit the Beauty Beat at Glam.com! And if you haven’t voted in the Glam awards, please do so. And if you want to vote for me, all the better. ;)

wish I could say the same about this time of year and my skin but I have just the opposite problem. My skin is very dry, cracked and flaky this time of yr. from the cold, winter and bitter temps we are now getting. Today the high is 25…not good for your skin and hair. No moisture, nothing but static in the hair and we have constant wind all the time….and I dont live in Chicago either.

    Hi,
I have just passed on your blog,
I wrote you this message, because I have myself a blog. The objective is that people send me their picture(s) with the clothes they intend to wear today or the next few days. And this to find out how is the fashion for people like you and me and by people from all over the world. I live in Singapore and here, fashion has a big importance, there’s a mix of cultures. It gives a colorful city… Anyway!
I think it’s great to share, to see how people match their clothes and accessories together. Anyway maybe I’m dreaming a little bit but who doesn’t intend anything, doesn’t get anything.

If you know anyone interested, it’d be great to talk about it, if yourself you find the idea interesting, of course!

    Thank you in advance

    Have a nice day

    Marie
