Beauty Beat: Hell, Thy Name is Cancer

by Christina Jones on May 1st, 2007

tanningWe just returned home from a wonderful weekend at the beach. This always is a mixed blessing for me, because I love brown skin, sunshine and playing on the beach all day, but I know that if I do that, there will be hell to pay - and its name is Cancer. I have met him and I have the scars to prove it, and to remind me to apply that sunscreen liberally, to make sure it is SPF 40 or above, to wear a hat, to cover up, and to stay indoors in the prime sun hours. May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and I hope you all will make the most of all of the wonderful self tanners on the market now, good ones are available in all price ranges, and they are so much healthier for you than a real suntan - please trust me on this one.

Excellent post! Now that mexoryl is approved by the FDA, do you know of any sunblocks that use it (besides Lancome, which is rather expensive), especially here in B-CS? Thanks!
