Borba Cosmeceuticals

by Christina Jones on October 18th, 2006

borbaI am a sucker for cosmeceuticals - yep, I am. :) I admit it (you already knew that though, didn’t you?). LOL Since learning about Borba Skin Care Waters, I have been intrigued - but was afraid that something so medicinal sounding would probably taste disgusting. I have never been a big fan of the watered down flavors of flavored water. Boy, was I wrong - these are delicious - who cares whether they do anything for your skin or not! But, the great thing is that they do. Along with very tasty flavors these healthy waters are formulated with different benefits and nutrients for all different skin types: Clarifying, Age Defying, Replenishing, Firming, AntiAging, Skin Calming. I need all of that, how about you? LOL

Along with the waters, another super convenient product they have are the Aqua-Less Crystalline Packets - which you just add to a bottle of water, shake it up and drink it down. How cool is that? Here is some info about the packets from the Borba website:

FUNCTION:
Skin Balance Clarifying Aqua-Less Crystalline contains a revolutionary cultivated bio-vitamin complex which helps the skin regenerate its natural support system, remove toxins and improve clarity of the dermis.

SCIENTIFIC CLAIM:
Independent respondents reported a reduction in breakouts by an average of 52%.

HELPS PREVENT & REDUCE BLEMISHES:
Walnut Husk Extract helps to stimulate the removal of epidermal toxins, helping to keep pores clear, promoting skin clarity and moisture levels.

PROMOTES HEALTHY SKIN:
Pomegranate Extract & Green Tea Extract helps to strengthen the capillary walls to reduce epidermal related irritation while helping to increase skin’s radiant look and feel.

INCREASE SKIN HYDRATION:
Green Tea Extract helps keep the dermis conditioned and moisturized throughout the day.

INNOVATION:
» Nutraceutical containing Walnut Husk, Pomegranate and Green Tea Extracts.
» NO Calories
» NO Sodium
» NO Aspartame

FLAVOR / SCENT: Pomegranate

The waters are a reasonable $2.50 each (the packets are sold by the box), and can be purchased in bulk through their website and on QVC. Have you tried these yet? Let me know what you think!

    I too luv cosmeceuticals.

I hate to admit being there, but I was at TJ Maxx the other day and found loads of Borba products! Nicely discounted Borba supplements.

I found the same thing at T.J. Maxx! But I also found the $18.50 Too Faced Lip Injection for $3. I was pretty happy with those finds :).

Ok then this is REALLY bad - TJMaxx is my FAVORITE store. I go there all the time - but in this tiny town I live in, we are lucky to have one little shelf of beauty stuff - no Borba, no TwoFaced! Aargh. Well, did you try the Borba? I sure would at a discount - it is yummy!

[…] The New York Times has been on a mission lately, dogging some of my favorite beauty things. Last week it was eyelash extensions - this week they are having it out with Borba and Murad - two of my favorite product lines that, along with their exceptional external skin care, offer vitamin supplements that are touted to help your skin from the inside out. The sources in the NYT article aren’t so sure: […]
