Fast Lash

by Christina Jones on August 22nd, 2005

There are quite a number of new eyelash extending mascaras on the market right now, and Alcone Beauty offers one that is different and amazing. Their product is called Fast Lash, and you can get a free sample (pay for shipping only-which is a little overpriced, as “shipping” always is, but still a good deal). I spent some serious time yesterday doing my lashes and taking photographs, most of which didn’t come out worth a flip.

Moving on, in your kit, you receive a small tube of black mascara, a small tube of the actual Fast Lash, and a very nice eyelash comb. Their mascara is great, by the way. I have tried so many mascaras over the years, and something about my skin gives them a run for their money, but this one is good - no running, flaking, clumping or smudging.

To use the Fast Lash, you apply one coat of mascara, then slowly pull the Fast Lash wand out of the tube. This is where you say, “wow!” The Fast Lash is a tube full of tiny little fibers. You simply touch the wand to your eyelashes, and the fibers cling to them. You then go back with the mascara, and apply another coat, and you have amazing lashes! You can repeat this as many times as necessary - I have made 3 passes with the Fast Lash, and they get longer with every pass. When you are finished, use the included eyelash comb to comb and seperate your lashes.

A word of warning. Fast Lash says that if you have sensitive eyes, or wear extended wear contact lenses, that you should probably not use this product. I have very sensitive eyes, and wear regular daily wear contacts, and have not had a bit of trouble.

Interesting! I usually use Maybelline because I find the more expensive department store mascaras are all too heavy for my lashes.

I was once told by a highly respected makeup artist that there are only a handful of mascara factories in the world, and all of the mascaras come from one of them. I have used an el-cheapo mascara for years and years that I buy at Sally’s Beauty, brand Sherani. Four bucks a tube, and it is the best I have ever used. Glad you liked the article!

Now why can’t they have products like that in Europe? I guess it would cost quite a bit to ship out here hmmm.

Hmmm, I wonder if it’s available here in New Zealand? Is it available in strawberry.net?

They may have a similar product, but truly, I have never seen one like this one, available at Alcone only, as far as I know. Did you check to see if they will ship there? Gosh, I didn’t think any internet retailers didn’t ship worldwide these days! Another comment about it–I slept in my "lush"ious lashes last night, and do you know, they weren’t even smudged this morning at all? Still looked fresh as a daisy (my mascara, anyway!). I am pretty impressed with this stuff all around.
