Just For Redheads
Paula Pennypacker (is that not the cutest name ever??), emailed me while I was out of town last week to tell me about her line of makeup that is - take a guess - Just For Redheads. Since I am not a redhead (this year, anyway), I know I am not the greatest person to try this out, but I thought I would let you know a little about it just the same. Some of my nearest and dearest are redheads, and I know they have always had issues with makeup colors. This is some info about their newest release, Volumizing Mascara in GingerHenna (sounds beautiful!). Please let me know if you have tried any of the Just For Redheads line, and what you think about it!
Mascara Ultresse in GingerHenna adds warmth to lashes without turning black on redheads. This volumizing formula is water resistant, as well as tear and smudge proof. Formulated and enriched with panthenol and Vitamin E to condition delicate lashes making them soft and natural, while preventing clumps. JFR’s exclusive lash comb and brush will also lift and separate lashes in one easy step.

I am a natural redhead. My daughter is also a natural redhead. We have tried all of the mascara formulations. Whie the colors are very good, the product is very expensive. I am wiling to pay the costs for having such a special product available, however, the component is so very cheap and nasty that each and every JFR mascara we owned broke well before the product inside could be consumed.
MAC used to make the perfect auburn mascara but discontinued it as did Estee Lauder. Until JFR inproves the mascara component, I don’t consider it a worthwhile purchase.

Hi Genie - thanks for the feedback - I hope Paula is watching, and hopefully she will take the criticism in mind. Packaging is the easy part to fix. :)

Just for Redheads appreciates input from our valuable customers, and we listen carefully.
We constantly strive to improve all JFR products, and our records indicate that the mascara she tried was in 2005. Since that time our packaging and formulations have enjoyed three generations of improvements. Thank you for the makeup for redheads . I just received my two Mascara Naturelles and could hardly wait to try one. A few hours later I found the product wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. I was so upset to see my water- resistant mascara wasn’t so water- resistant after seeing my raccoon eyes staring back at me in the mirror. Hopefully, in the future your product will be water-resistant and I will gladly buy it. I am returning my purchases for a refund. P.S. Where is the Special Holiday Gift the invoice listed?
