Lip Fusion XL
Since I was phenomenally lazy last week and did not give the usual Friday rundown of what everyone else is talking about online, I wanted to point out this article, by Kristen at Beauty Addict, about Lip Fusion XL. I was intrigued enough that I added it to my Bare Minerals order (yay!) over the weekend, so when it arrives, I will give you my opinion.
Lip Fusion XL is the version 2 of the original lip plumper, Lip Fusion. Here is some of what Kristen had to say about it:
1. It’s glossier than the original LipFusion, and the formula is clear, unlike the original which was somewhat opaque in the tube. This is a plus.
2. It has a spearmint scent, while the original had some nondescript fragrance, I think it kinda smelled like lemon custard. I would say this is a neutral.
3. It’s in a shiny new mirrored tube, which I have to say is quite the drawback; it picks up fingerprints and smudges, which annoys the hell out of me.
4. It does a better job than the original of keeping lips moisturized; I think this may be due to the addition of Hyaluronic Acid to the ingredient list. This is definitely a plus.
5. Oh, and the plumping? It works. Better than the original? Yep. It plumped without burning, reddening, or drawing comparisons to any of the following: Melanie Griffith, Amanda Lepore, Lara Flynn Boyle, or the newly-Restylaned Jessica Simpson.
My only lip plumping experience is with Lip Venom, which I thought was ok, but I think it felt like it was doing more than it actually was, so I am anxious to see what Lip Fusion has that is different. Will let you know! And I am soooo anxious to try the Bare Minerals after so many of you have given it such a high recommendation - more to come soon!
