My Favorite Every Day Mascara
I really have 3 favorite mascaras - and wear them all regularly, on different occasions. First I will tell you about my “every day” mascara. I wear this every day - and have a tube of it everywhere I might find myself - several in the bathroom, one in the bedroom, one in the office, one in my purse and one in the car. Yes, that means it is nice and inexpensive.
What is this fabulous mascara? It is called Magnified Mascara, it is made by Sherani - and I purchase it at Sally Beauty Supply for somewhere around $4-5 a tube. My eyelashes are “medium” all the way around. They are medium long, medium thick and medium in number. Not particularly long, thick or lush at all. Sherani Magnified Mascara comes in Black and Black/Brown, and goes on your eyelashes pretty heavy - meaning that unless you have the fullest, thickest lashes, you will probably want to run a comb through them, because each coat of mascara puts enough product on your eyelashes that they may well clump. My mother does not like this mascara because it is too clumpy on her - but her eyelashes are more fine and sparse than mine are. I love it because it is fast, I only need one coat (or two at the very most) and the very best part is that it does not smudge or flake at all. Not one bit. For some reason, my eyes are shaped so that they love to get a smudge of mascara under them if at all possible. I can even do a bit of crying and the mascara stays put. It also comes off easily with cleansers. Love it, to me there is no down side.
I usually keep a tube of the Sherani Waterproof Mascara around as well - it is very good too, but I hate trying to get waterproof mascara off of my lashes, so I only wear it when I absolutely have to. I have tried the Sherani Protein Mascara as well, and it is pretty good too - but is just a touch more flaky than the Magnified Mascara, so I stick with that one. Mascara Perfection, for me.

This mascara sounds too good to be true! I am a Make-up Artist and have probably tried every mascara on the market. It’s the one product i go through like water. Unfortunately it costs a lot more than water. Does this mascara really compare to the more popular brands? Besides the price how does it stack up to the higher end mascaras? My favorites are the ones from Lancome. Hands down they work the best on me and my clients but the are much too expensive to constantly stock my kit. I actuallly found them for 35% off on BuyMeBeauty.com. If you’ve never been to this site you should go. I found a lot of great make-up at amazing prices. But I am excited to try this Sherani mascara if it is as great as you say!

LOL Sam - I truly do love it, but as I said in the post - my mother hates it - so I know it isn’t everyone’e be all/end all mascara. I like the fact that it puts a good bit of mascara on my lashes in one or two applications, but it isn’t for everyone. I certainly think that for the price, it is worth a try. It doesn’t flake or smudge AT ALL on me, which is a problem I have with a whole lot of mascaras, even the classic mascaras that everyone loves. I’ve always like Loreal’s Lash Out. In the past year I stopped wearing mascara daily because I wasn’t working and just didn’t feel like putting it on, but now my once decent lashes have become short and skimpy. I don’t know why? Maybe aging/hormone related? Anyway, now that I’m working again and using mascara regularly I just hate it! (And I’m using a fresh tube.)
I wanted to ask Sam a question, if I may…I’m just curious when you use mascara on a client do you give the client that tube to keep or do you use it on other people? I’ve always heard not to share mascara because of the potential for bacteria so close to the eyes, so this is something I wondered about.

Hi Gail,
You are right about not sharing mascara!! Everyone has tiny (harmless) bacteria living in their lashes. That is why it is neccesary to get a new mascara every three months. I do not give each of my clients a tube of mascara, since I work for myself that can get a little pricey. I use Mascara wands, which i sanatize after each client or when i have a number of people per job i use disposable mascara wands. You can find them at most beauty supply stores. They are a great tool. Thanks for your question!

I love the protein mascara by sherani. It also comes in a smaller tube. I take in my evening bag or carry it in my jeans to basketball games, etc. Great for athletes that want a natural look.I have bought so many mascara and this is the best one ever.
I’ll try the one you mentioned by sherani too

Oh yeah they have a lip liner that I have. It stays on all day. I even tattooed my dog with it. It stays on my dog too. I wonder if I should put mascara on the dog
