My Love/Hate Relationship With Bumble & Bumble

by Christina Jones on June 4th, 2008

Howdy folks – could I be more behind?  I think not.  Well, maybe.  When I get overwhelmed, I must whine a little, so please bear with me while I try to get myself back into the blogging groove this week.

On my whiny brain today is Bumble & Bumble.  *Why o why* do they not allow people to sell them online?  What is the point?  Is it diversion fears?  Maybe they just don’t *want* to have a thriving company that sells like mad.  I don’t know, but I sure wish they would reconsider that.  I have a few B&B things that I love and can’t live without, but the ordeal I have to go through to get them is just too much.

I have told you about their Hair Powder before.  I still think its a life saver when you need a color job and if you really need a hair washing, but just don’t have the time.

I also adore the Surf Spray.  After I do that elusive hair washing, my hair is so clean that it is flat to my head.  Surf Spray gives it that much needed life, and it is sooooooooo easy and quick.

Those two products are really the only things that make me go through the torture of hunting down B&B, and then trying new things while I am there.  I am so far not a great fan of their shampoos and conditioners (too expensive, not enough efficacy), and am using their Brilliantine shine spray now, and its *ok* but nothing different from a bunch of other similar products out there and nothing I would go through a ring of fire to obtain (like that hair powder…lol).  What do you all think about Bumble & Bumble – is it worth the effort?  Do I keep exploring?

I completely understand the juggling act between clean flat hair and dirty hair. Somewhere in between is ideal, your hair looked great and full of bounce so I need to try some B&B soon! It was nice to meet you at the TB summit!

I love B&b products too! They sell almost the entire line of products in Walgreens and in the Target near me now!

    Love your site!

Your point about B&B not thinking about easier more accessible ways to get their products to consumers is well taken. I don’t use their products but I understand the annoyance and headache. You shouldn’t have to go through all that. Maybe they’ll see the post and do something about it.

Our Target carries B&B now, too. The only product I have in my arsenal is the Surf Spray.

I love b&b too! Especially the hair powder!

I thought that I had seen the hair powder available on amazon.com once before…
(I tried to check but amazon won’t load for me right now.)

I believe salons that sell B&b products have trained stylists there that can help educate the consumer about the product with tips and tricks about the product. Also sales of the products give the salon points to earn a BUMBLE UNIVERSITY styling education. So help out your town’s salon! Also ask about the products you buy and see what new things you can find out! I found all of this out from the bumble website. The products are awesome and most people will do whatever it takes to get them. also it’s only the salons who will go for the above not stores like target and walgreens. who i think sometimes sell those products like the seaweed shampoo more than the actual salons.

Am sure that it is just the product that love all hair types. It has worked always great on my hair and I carry it where ever I can.
