Review: Toma’s Tan Perfect
Now that the summer is rapidly approaching an end, I am starting to think about sunless tanners again (really, I think about them all of the time, but in the summer I manage to get enough color on my legs that I can stand them). I am so pasty white in the winter that I cannot hardly stand to look at myself, and of course, the tanning bed is out of the question. So that leaves me with pasty skin, or self tanners. The trick with self tanners is to blend, blend blend (just like your foundation) and be sure to wash your hands. There are some other tricks as well, but I will save those for another self tanning blog.
Toma’s Tan Perfect- available on some home shopping television stations, and at your local drugstore. This is a fancy (read: expensive) 2 step treatment. The kit comes with a fruity smelling exfoliating scrub, the bottle of self tanner, and a pair of gloves.

I have a heck of a time with these….I’d love to hear some input on how to get some of those tanning creams to work evenly!

I love this product!! Cant say enough good things about it. I am a true redhead with freckles and oh so white pale skin. I sleep in it for 2 nights though 1 night is good but 2 I am dark and even and it does not get on my clothes after I wash the film of it off the next morning. Once I see a bit of fade I am on it again for one night. Lasts about 5 days before a hint of fade and one night of reapply I am good for another 5. LOVE IT!! Thanks Tomas!!

I just did a google search tp see where I could go buy Toma Perfect Tan today and will got to Sally’s. I have never used any other sell tanning lotion. I was afraid of them being orange or streaked or unnatural looking - and this one was PERFECT so I have used it since 2003! I only use the tanning part and the gloves. I leave it on for about thirty minutes till dry then just leave it on until my next bath time that night. Dont worry about some washing off - it is just the excess. LOVE this stuff!

I am a die-hard Tan Perfect fan…absolutely love this stuff and have been using it for years (since 2000). I’m dark haired and as absolutely white as you can get, so I was delighted (and instantly SOLD on it) when I actually got a natural dark tan with this product. (It’s not only NOT orange, but looks so natural I always get the question, “have you been tanning?”). I faithfully re-stock my supply in summer, but this year, I had a real challenge locating their re-order information since their phone number and website info changed.
But, the good news is, I finally found them at http://www.tomastanning.com. You can find their whole product line there. The pricing is the same as Sally’s mentioned above.
I hope this is helpful. Happy tanning!
P.S. I’ve never liked all the work of the body scrub and enhancing lotion. I just buy the instant tanning lotion and skip everything else. So ordering from their web site is handy because you can buy all the individual items (versus the kit) in case you run out of one item. Also, the pricing is the same as Sally’s mentioned above.

I really like their scrub - it does a great scrubbing job and I LOVE the peach smell. Thanks so much for your comments and helping each other out with this product - I am glad to see it is still a great product!

I love Toma’s tan, too… but I also love Fake Bake, which is made by the same company. It costs more, but has more tanner in it. I get soo dark– never orange! http://www.fakebake.net

I thought I may be the only person in the world who uses this stuff, but I love it! In the summer, I have enough of a tan anyway, so I started using tomas Tan & Trim. Not as much tanner as the regular product, but it really has smoothed out the back of my legs!
