Slowwwwwwww beauty!
My DSL modem crashed hard over the weekend (well, actually broke off a chunk!), and naturally, you can’t just go get another one at the BestBuy, so am paying by the hour on dial-up until Verizon opens their sales doors this morning, and I can order a new one. Ugh. My daughter is also sick with a 102 fever and strep throat as of yesterday evening. So, please bear with me, I will be back in serious action hopefully by tomorrow night.

I do want to point you towards a post by SP Bragg on AgingFabulous where she is talking about a new perfume coming out from Kiss - yes, Gene Simmons and the rest of the boys. old men. Have you heard about this? I think I want to give it a try. ;) I freely admit that I have an immense amount of respect for Gene Simmons, and really do think he is a genius. If anyone knows sexy stuff, it is him, IMHO, of course!

The band inked a licensing deal with Gemini Cosmetics Thursday for both beauty and fragrances. The first products will be out in September: men’s and women’s scents.
“We thought about doing makeup,” band co-founder Paul Stanley, the group’s guitarist, joked in an interview. “But we weren’t sure how many women would want to walk around with white-painted faces.”
Oh I don’t know, with the popularity of Memoir’s of a Geisha right now, this might be the time to come out with some good white makeup! Anyway, I am looking forward to sampling this scent, and just as soon as I get my hands on it, I will be happy to let you know what I think! But don’t hold your breath, September is a long way out!

[…] The talk is heating up again about the fragrance coming out in the fall by Kiss, but mostly because Kiss is opening up a coffee shop in Myrtle Beach at the end of the month. Those guys never cease to amaze me really. About the perfume: And while the KISS scents do not contain actual band member sweat – as far as we know - they do contain a heady blend of black cumin, white pepper, dark rum, cypress, moss and honeyed amber blend (pour homme) and crushed red peppercorns, wet fig leaves, wild red poppy, musky bare skin accord, shiny patent leather and vintage mahogany (pour femme). And both the men’s and women’s scents and ancillary products - Party Shower Gel, Lovin’ Body Lotion, Rockin’ Bath Splash - also contain pheromones, which are said to increase libido and up one’s sexual attraction factor.
