Spring 2006 Hair

by Christina Jones on March 15th, 2006

The Spring Shag Have you noticed the trends back to the asymmetrical do’s of the 80’s like I have? It was all over the runways and red carpets this spring. Geometric designs are also in fashion this spring as well as heavy bangs and dramatic variations of the classic shag. The details are what make these haircuts really fashionable.
Kelly Osbourne is sporting a cut that is just as cute as can be, and a great example of the style this season:

Kelly Osbourne rockin a cute haircut!

And the front:

And the hair from the front...

I believe she is growing up a bit, isn’t she looking cute? Notice the layers in the crown in the top picture, that will make this hairstyle really versatile. She is wearing it really sleek now, but with a teasing comb and some hairspray, she could create (and knowing Kelly, she probably will!) a really funky volumunous style. I am SO getting my haircut again. :)

Me Too! I need a new ‘do. Kelly looks very cute in that picture. Sadly, my hair looks more like Ozzie’s! :o

Ha ha ha! I know what you mean! I think I need to see a real hairdresser for this, but I am printing out these pics and taking them in! Very cute (and not just for the 20 yr old set, methinks!)!

    Christine,

I noticed all of your points in the Spring NYT’s fashion supplement.

I recently had my color done, and I love my stylist, but I think he put in too much blonde in the hightlight mixture…some of the strands are almost platinum…what can I do to tone this down?

Ha- how funny, Kim. I didn’t refer to that at all when researching this post. Go to the store and buy a shampoo for golden blonde or light brown hair - the shampoo should be gold colored, not blue or purple. Use that, and it should keep the platinum toned down in your hair. If you need a little more help than a shampoo will give you, try using one of those Clairol Natural Instinct colors in a golden blonde color, like 04
Sunflower - Medium Golden Blonde. That will do the trick I bet.

    Christina,

Thanks…I think Frederik Fekkai has a blonde line such as you recommend.

[…] I just got an email from a woman that about gave me a heart attack - it started out “I just read about your site in the NY Times.” What?? And upon a bit of a search I found a great article about Kristen from BeautyAddict (who we know and love to read) and then another reference about beauty on the web that has eBeautyDaily listed with this description: “Lively product reviews and celebrity notes.” I guess I have been talking a bit more about celebrity lately, eh? (By the way, I am getting ready to give my daughter the cute Kelly Osbourne haircut this weekend. LOL) […]
