Stylist: The Interpreters of Fashion
Stylist: The Interpreters of Fashion is a new book coming out at the end of the month from the fashionistas at Style.com. This looks like it is going to be a gorgeous coffee table book of beautiful people styled by the best and photographed by the best. It has 260 pages, 225 photographs, will sell for $75 ($97 CAN), and will be on the shelves October 30th. Oh and has a foreward by Anna (Wintour) the Great. :)

Organized by stylist, each chapter features the gorgeous photography from their collaborations with the world’s top photographers such as Richard Avedon, Annie Leibovitz, Helmut Newton, and Mario Testino.
The stylists featured in the book—Paul Cavaco, Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Grace Coddington, Edward Enninful, Lori Goldstein, Tonne Goodman, Andrea Lieberman, Polly Mellen, Camilla Nickerson, Carine Roitfeld, Venetia Scott, Karl Templer, Melanie Ward, Alex White, Brana Wolf, and Joe Zee—have created images that have been featured on the covers and in the pages of magazines worldwide, as well as on television, album covers and in music videos.
Here are some images of the book that they sent me, the first is Natalie Portman, styled by Paul Cavaco, photo by Michael Thompson - and the second is Kate Moss, styled by Brana Wolfe, photo by Inze van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
For additional information, check out Style.com on October 23rd. I hate like the devil to even mention the *h* word, but boy, would this be a nice gift for someone. That’s all I will say about that. Until November. :)
Also, for every book sold between October 30, 2007 and August 31st, 2008, 5% of the retail price will benefit The American Red Cross with a minimum donation of $15,000. That is reason enough for me to work through the guilt and go for it!

Cute, but I probably won’t spend $97 on a book that’s only worth about $72CAN.

A lot of the photos in the book aren’t of actual fashion styling, like the natalie portman hair image- thats hair styling!, but its a fun and informative book about the stylists themselves, i am so glad it was given to me!
