Vow 2006 - A great idea and a FABULOUS fragrance!

by Christina Jones on March 29th, 2006

Vow 2006 - amazing for brides and for all of the rest of us!Oh, lucky me! Did I mention eBeautyDaily got a mention in the New York Times last week? Well one great result of that was being contacted by a representative from Vow fragrance who sent me a bottle to try (she was the same person who gave me a heart attack in the email last week!). I have mentioned before that I have been, until very recently, a “one scent” girl. I busted out of my mold at Christmas and asked for a new scent, and have slowly become more aware that a girl can wear as many fragrances as she wants.

Well was I ever pleasantly surprised by Vow, for several reasons. First and foremost, the scent is absolutely amazing. I always find myself expecting not to like a new fragrance. Vow 2006 is floral and feminine without being at all “grandmother-y,” it is delicate and makes me feel beautiful. I really could see this one being my very favorite fragrance. This is how the company describes the fragrance notes:

Top notes of sparkling citrus blossoms, white pepper and pink freesia open to a heart of champagne roses, honeysuckle, orange flower and night blooming wild jasmine. Lingering at the base is the sensuality of amber with a hint of sheer musk.

That is a perfect description. Yum!

Second, the idea of Vow is really unique. Vow is marketed towards brides, with a “vintage” that is sold for only 1 year. The packaging is beautiful, it comes in a white, satin lined box that opens book-style, and comes with a registration card so you can register your fragrance and have the ability to purchase your year’s vintage forever. Isn’t that unique? I really think this is an amazing bridal gift, but would be a great bridesmaid gift as well. And even if there is no wedding in your future, this is a scent to check out for your own personal use anyway, I can’t tell you how yummy it is!

I am also going to ping my friends Christine and Arieanna on this one, Christine writes OurOneHeart, about weddings and brides, and Arieanna is just about to walk the aisle herself. I would hate to think either of them would miss this fragrance!

You can buy Vow 2006 eau de parfum at the Vow web site, and it is $60 for a 1.7 ounce bottle.
